IX

PARTIAL SOLO

IX is a long ritual chain built around Death of Orion progression, affinity manipulation, challenge phases, and a two-elephant boss finale.

01
Open map and unlock PaP

Open all four temple lanes, run gongs/champions, and place the heads to unlock Pack-a-Punch.

02
Build wonder-weapon chain

Acquire Death of Orion, process grinder/cauldron/fertilizer chain, and complete Danu underworld pod phases.

03
Run challenge gauntlet

Complete skull/champion/obelisk/symbol rooms in order while controlling special zombie spawns.

04
Complete arena charge steps

Raise underground poles and finish the Arena electric-circle phase using Kill-O-Watt stun kills.

05
Finish Fury and Wrath

Enter the red portal and defeat both elephant phases by stripping armor and focusing face damage windows.

Field Strategies

  • Treat arena and bridge as your two safest reset loops; do not trap yourself in narrow altar stairs during specials.
  • Assign each player one temple side for faster head collection and cleaner challenge callouts.
  • Use Serket and shield shots for revive windows, not random clear, then save specialist for underworld forced-fight steps.
  • Control crowd affinity intentionally: max affinity for rewards, bad affinity only when a quest step needs it.

Special Enemies

Catalyst Zombie

Come in three variants: Fire (ignites a ground patch on death), Poison (releases toxic cloud on death), and Electric (shocks nearby on death). Identifiable by their glowing colour.

TIP Fire Catalysts - back away before finishing them. Poison Catalysts - shoot from range and let the cloud dissipate. Electric - safe to melee finish if you are already up close.

Blightfather

A massive heavily-armoured gladiator boss that appears periodically in the arena. Very high health and powerful slams. It drops significant rewards on death.

TIP Focus all players' fire on Blightfather immediately. The Sentinel Artifact is effective. Avoid standing directly in front of it - its slam has a wide forward arc.

Death of Orion Chain

01 Skull interaction start

Locate and collect the marked skull in Temple to begin the weapon chain.

02 Grinder step

Use Death of Orion charged shots on the Flooded Crypt grinder, then collect bone mesh output.

Ritual and Challenge Checks

01 Fertilizer bowl placement

Place bone mesh, charcoal, and crowd item in Zeus bowl to advance the growth chain.

02 Ra obelisk symbol logic

Watch the obelisk flash order and kill only the required special zombie type sequence.
